Safe Steps in Nature: Peer Leadership e-Training Program

This e-training program is specifically designed to prepare young peer leaders to safely conduct and manage nature-based activities. It was developed in the initial months of the project to ensure leaders were equipped before local activities began. The program enhances the capacity of youth to lead their peers effectively while prioritizing safety and risk management in outdoor environments. It consists of three modules covering leadership and group management, nature and health safety, and program design.

Peer-Based Learning Modular e-Training Manual

This modular e-training manual features interactive content and video tutorials created for use by educational institutions and youth organizations. The manual integrates the unique expertise of all partner organizations to provide a holistic approach to youth health and environmental awareness. It includes four specialized modules, each featuring two five-minute webinar videos and comprehensive training materials. The manual is designed to help youth develop healthy lifestyle habits and integrate mindfulness practices into their daily lives.

Focuses on inclusive outdoor activities, safety protocols, and group dynamics.

Module 2: Physical Activity and Endurance (Croatia)

Covers fitness principles and adapted sports, including orienteering.

Module 3: Nutrition and Sustainable Living (TΓΌrkiye)

Addresses healthy eating, sustainable nutrition, and mindful eating practices.

Module 4: Mental Health and Nature Connection (Norway)

Features mindfulness, stress management, and nature therapy.

Project Local Activities Results

Alongside the core training manual structures, local activities produce webinars, interactive guides, and newsletters driving localized youth action.

1- Interactive Webinar Series

The project features a series of three comprehensive webinars held at the start of each thematic phase. These sessions provide foundational knowledge on Nutrition and Sustainable Living, Physical Activity and Outdoor Sports, and Mental Health and Mindfulness.

Webinar exploring the connection between diet, ecological sustainability, and mental well-being.

Physical Activity & Outdoor Sports

Guidelines for developing nature-based physical habits and safe, inclusive recreation models.

Mental Health & Nature Connection

Practical webinars outlining nature therapy, forest bathing, mindfulness, and stress management.

2- Youth-Led E-Newsletters

Following each 4-month activity period, youth participants create e-newsletters to summarize their learnings and local achievements.

3- Specialized Health & Wellbeing E-Guides

Through the international training events (LTTAs), the partnership has developed five thematic e-guides. These resources are currently under review.
